“ If you listen inside the large seashell, you can hear the ocean”, my grandmother told me as a child. In my work Sculpture in Resonance, this occurs in photography. Just as a shell gathers sounds from its surroundings, creating resonance and the experience of hearing the waves, I allow my works to be depicted and coexist. The pieces unite into a shared whole, where each layer forms a natural symbiosis that opens up the full depth of the photograph. They are preserved memories of places, but also sculptures created by creative hands long before I was born. In photography, I let something hard become soft, something ordinary - a drying leek - become part of the sculptural; a growing tree on a stone wall transforms into veins. Time is fleeting and can change in an instant, but in my works, I let the layers of time live together in the same resonance.
