Maja Eriksson is a 32 year old Swedish artist and photographer working at the intersection of image, material, and memory.
With an academic background in art history, visual studies, and aesthetics, and experience from museum and gallery contexts her work is informed by a sensitivity to form -its quiet shifts, its echoes, its hum. Having lived for extended periods in Italy, she moves fluidly between languages, speaking Italian as part of her everyday rhythm.
Now devoted to her own artistic practice, she creates works that linger between the tactile and the ephemeral. Alongside her visual work, she sings and plays the guitar, where sound becomes another way of tracing form-an undercurrent, a resonance.
