Maja Eriksson is a 32 year old Swedish visual artist and photographer working at the intersection of image, material, and memory.

With an academic background in art history, visual studies, and aesthetics, and experience from museum and gallery contexts, her work is informed by a sensitivity to form, its quiet shifts, its echoes, its hum.

She travels frequently and continuously collects visual material from different places. These fragments function as carrying elements within her practice, where memory becomes a central thread. The places she visits are stored as layers of time and experience, reappearing in her images as something both concrete and at the same time abstract and constantly shifting.

Now devoted to her own artistic practice, she creates works that linger between the tactile and the ephemeral. Alongside her visual work, she sings and plays the guitar, where sound becomes another way of tracing form — an undercurrent, a resonance.
